Custom Booth for GENDA at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles

Here’s a look at a trade show exhibit booth we custom built and installed for GENDA at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles.

North America’s largest celebration of Japanese pop culture, Anime Expo (AX) was taking place from Thursday July 3, to Sunday July 6, 2025 at the LA Convention Center.

PLANNING

Our client GENDA (Global Entertainment Network for Dreams and Aspiration) is a Japanese entertainment group that operates amusement arcades (GiGO), karaoke chains (BanBan), character merchandising, and more. They were looking for a large 30′ x 60′ booth that would allow to showcase their game machines and services, with live product interaction and demonstrations

BUILDING THE DISPLAY BOOTH

To bring GENDA’s Anime Expo booth to life, we built a range of custom elements tailored to both function and brand experience. A custom-designed carpet set the tone, covering the full 30′ x 60′ footprint and adding a colorful foundation. We utilized sustainable B-Matrix framing to support printed SEG fabric walls, ensuring both durability and premium visual quality. For interactivity, we crafted a lifesize immersive foam phone photo op—a playful and memorable centerpiece for fans. Additional details included ultra board-mounted graphics throughout the space, offering sturdy, clean visuals for branding and wayfinding. Each asset was designed to reflect GENDA’s colorful, energetic identity while supporting high foot traffic and constant engagement. Everything, from strategic asset placement to lifesize foam phone photo ops and themed decor, was crafted to create an immersive, engaging environment true to the playful and interactive spirit of GENDA’s brand.

EXHIBIT INSTALLATION

The GENDA booth was carefully built, prepped and organized at our local Los Angeles headquarters for efficient delivery to the nearby Anime Expo. Our team arrived onsite with all assets packed into custom-labeled crates for a streamlined build. The modular B-Matrix walls allowed for a smooth, quick setup, while the custom carpet was rolled out first to anchor the space. The photo op and mounted graphics were installed with precision to ensure alignment and durability across the multi-day event.

With our project managers and experienced crew onsite, we made sure all game machines, displays, and interactive elements were placed according to the floorplan, tested, and show-ready. Post-event, the teardown was swift and damage-free. Everything was packed back into custom crates and transported securely.
