Oversized Bose Headphones Prop

RCS Custom Exhibits fabricated a highly detailed oversized replica prop of the BOSE QuietComfort headphones for a collaborative activation between BOSE and streamer Plaqueboymax taking place on February 12, 2026 in Los Angeles. Built at three times the scale of the original consumer product, the headphones were engineered as a large-format experiential prop and serving as the primary visual centerpiece of the activation.

This activation featured a large-scale sculptural environment centered around a giant pink gorilla installation. RCS produced an oversized headphone prop replicating the BOSE QuietComfort model, designed to function as a hero display element. The enlarged product replica created an instantly recognizable brand moment optimized for photography, audience interaction, and social media visibility.

PROP DESIGN

The objective was to create a bold, immersive display piece that preserved BOSE’s industrial design identity at monumental scale for experiential marketing and media engagement.

RCS analyzed the original BOSE QuietComfort headphone design to accurately scale proportions while preserving visual balance at oversized dimensions. Engineering considerations ensured that enlarged components maintained realism while functioning structurally as a display-ready prop.

PROP FABRICATION

The oversized prop was fabricated using large-format 3D printing followed by extensive sanding, surface refinement, and reinforcement. Multi-layer paint systems were applied to recreate distinct material appearances—including molded plastic housings, metallic finishes, gloss detailing, and leather cushioning textures—allowing the prop to convincingly mimic real product materials at scale.
