Custom Booth for Alien Milling at Lab Day 2026 in Chicago

Here’s a look at a trade show exhibit booth we custom built and installed for Alien Milling at Lab Day 2026 in Chicago.

The largest international gathering of the dental laboratory community in North America, LAB DAY Chicago was taking place from February 19 – 21, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

PLANNING

Based in Glendora, California, our client Alien Milling is a cutting-edge Dental Milling Center known for using the latest methods and technologies in milling top dental prosthetics.

Our mission was to translate a technical manufacturing brand into a visually striking and memorable booth environment that highlights product capabilities while delivering a cohesive, themed experience through lighting, materials, and custom fabrication.

The final build combined immersive design with functional display elements, allowing visitors to engage with both the brand story and the technical capabilities of the company.

TRADE SHOW BOOTH DESIGN

Working closely with Alien Milling, the booth was developed as a spaceship-inspired environment that aligned with the brand’s name and identity. The layout, materials, and lighting were
strategically designed to highlight CNC milling capabilities. Integrated display systems, custom LED-lit furniture and neon-accented fabrication elements were chosen to reinforce the
brand’s “alien” theme.

CUSTOM EXHIBIT BUILD

The booth was fabricated using custom-built structural elements, LED-integrated furniture, and neon-accented finishes. Display desks were engineered to showcase CNC tools clearly while maintaining the futuristic aesthetic. Custom vinyl flooring was produced to simulate a metallic ship-grate surface, enhancing the immersive environment.

TRADE SHOW BOOTH DELIVERY / INSTALLATION / BREAKDOWN

Everything was custom built at our Los Angeles headquarters, professionally delivered and installed by our team in Chicago. All booth components were assembled at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, including integrating lighting systems and completing final detailing to ensure a seamless, show-ready presentation. The booth was dismantled following event completion. Modular booth components have the potential to be reused for future activations.

This exhibit successfully translated Alien Milling’s technical capabilities into a bold, futuristic brand experience. By combining industrial product display with immersive design elements, the booth created a unique balance between function and storytelling—allowing the brand to stand out while clearly communicating its expertise. This project demonstrates RCS’s ability to merge technical product showcasing with themed experiential environments.
