Custom Booth for Visit Milwaukee at IMEX America 2024

Here’s a look at a trade show booth we custom built and installed for Visit Milwaukee at IMEX America 2024.

Bringing together business events professionals, IMEX America was taking place from Tuesday, October 8, to Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV .

PLANNING

Our client, Visit Milwaukee, wanted to create a fun, casual booth to attract business and conventions. They chose an outdoorsy theme representing the activities the Wisconsin city has to offer, most particularly its popular brewery scene. We planned out a 20’x40’ configuration of their booth that included the custom shipping container we modified, beer garden, 5 separate meeting spaces, a presentation viewing area, bar, check in counter, and a top floor used to display merch giveaways.

BUILDING THE DISPLAY

In order for the modified shipping container and beer garden to fit into a 20’x40’ booth space, we oriented the 20’ side of the shipping container to run along the 40’ booth space. We opened the shipping container doors to allow access inside from the beer garden.

For the beer garden we fabricated two 15’ cross beams to fit into the remaining space and strung a new galvanized wire harness and cafe lights to the cross beams. Since this show focuses on meeting appointments, we staged 5 meeting areas with 2-4 seats each on the lower floor/deck of the shipping container. The beer garden area served as a presentation area with two monitors mounted to the existing pillars and the existing cocktail tables and stools used for seating.

INSTALLATION

Everything was built in our Los Angeles shop, transported and professionally installed by our team at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. We also handled breakdown.
